Jon's originally from near Leeds in Yorkshire. After headlining the singer/songwriter event at the "London City Showcase" with Seth Lakeman, and some advice from Steve Rusby (Kate's dad), we decided to produce a stripped back album. To give the album a slight twist, we asked three of the most respected folk musicians in the world to help, Tom McConville, Kathryn Tickell and Chris Sherburn.

Jon is not a folk singer. He is a contemporary singer/songwriter. However since his recent move to Manchester, he's teamed up with a fantastic young fiddle player called "Kate Moran". So there's planty of jigs and reels thrown in live performances for good measure. Opening slots for "Tom McConville at The Lowry" and again for "Lau at Bury Met" in February have given Jon and Kate a brilliant start to 2010.
